VITAP ANNOUNCES IMPROVEMENTS TO ECLIPSE CONTOUR EDGEBANDER
Vitap S.p.A. and Atlantic Machinery Corp. has just released information on the improved version of the Eclipse, the award-winning semi-automatic contour edgebander.
Vitap, the manufacturer since 2005 of the original and AWFS 2013 Visionary Award winner Eclipse contour edgebander, has introduced new technology for the utilization of PUR glue system. The new machines will have a dual glue system, meaning they can use BOTH conventional edgebanding glue AND the PUR system, with just minimal set up time.
To the best of our knowledge, this will be the first time that a semi-automatic contour edgebander will be able to utilize the PUR glue system — something that until now has been restricted to conventional, in-line edgebanders or large and very expensive contour edgebanders available in the market place.
The Eclipse is designed with an integrated trimming unit and is able to process large or small panels without extra setup. It can apply straight or shaped (concave and convex) edges with great versatility and ease of use and requires a minimal footprint in the workspace.
